Chapter 216: Spectacular Show
Chapter 216: Spectacular Show
"They are dead," said Cecelia. Kadyn had just opened his shop when she arrived. "The manager of the Grand Spire was among the killers."
Kadyn nodded as if he had expected this much. Dwarves didn’t let those people live for long. After all, it would affect their reputation if someone uncovered the truth. Their only option was to silent the thugs they had hired. He was silent for a moment, then said, "Take a few people with you to the Elven Forest, we are short of herbs. We will run out of stock soon enough, after all, our herb garden doesn’t have too many high level herbs."
Elven Forest was the greatest place to find the herbs on Pengolla. Though it was in on Arura Continent, the territory of elves, it was filled with riches. Kadyn clearly knew its benefits. Though elves won’t like someone taking their precious herbs without offering them anything in return, Kadyn cared little about it. To do something big, one need to be ready to take little risks.
Cecelia nodded before walking away.
Kadyn smiled towards the customers who were pouring inside the shop, and gestured Hayla to take care of them. When the crowd became larger he sent Morwag and Dion to help her to manage them.
Then he once more eyed Cecelia’s disappearing back and frowned. He needed to solve the problem with her bloodline before it is too late. However, he was having hard time finding any solution. He was unable to find it inside the shop, and the system won’t even reply to him whenever he needed it.
Sometimes he felt an urge to vent and curse the system to his heart’s content, however, whenever he remembered that he would lose energy points he swallowed all the angry silently. Energy points were too precious.

Kadyn was sitting at the center of the formation, energy rushed towards him in gusts, forming vortex on his body. Inside his body a bud at the center of the ocean started to bloom. Petals of different color started to spread, and then they formed into a gigantic lotus filled with thousands of leaves. Some of them had same color and some of them had different colors—all of them representing an element that Kadyn possessed.
As soon as the lotus bloomed, energy burst out of his body. He opened his eyes and stood, smile lingering over his lips. "Finally," he said, "I’m at Mature Stage."
As soon as he walked out of Meditation Room a figure appeared in front of him. "You have broken through?" said a voice of a lady.
"What are you doing here?" he asked, looking at Alerathla.
"I suddenly felt a surge of energy inside my body and realized that you have broken through," she said. "I just came to check out."
"Alright," he said. "Now that you are done checking out, please go sleep."
"Oh, are you going somewhere?" asked the lady, her eyes glittering eagerly.
Kadyn rolled his eyes at her and said, "Alright, you can come with me, but remember, you have to follow my command."
"Yes, sir," said Alerathla in her pleasant and excited voice.
Soon the duo arrived in the market of the Dewhurst district. It was very late, that’s why there wasn’t soul in the view of them, but when Kadyn passed the Blissful Night Brothel, a few men were entering the building and coming out of it. Other than this single place, not a single business was opened at this hour of the night.
After fifteen minutes of continuous walking, they arrived in front of a majestic building. It was the tallest building Kadyn had ever seen after coming to this world. It had fifteen floors, would be better to call it a tower instead of building. A name of the tower was written at the top floor, anyone could see it from a distance. Grand Spire. It was the branch of Grand Spire in the Dewhurst. The hub of artifact business in the district before Kadyn arrived.
"What are we doing here?" asked Alera.
Kadyn shook his head, and brought two masks out if his ring. "Wear it," he said. "We are going to cause some trouble at this place. It is high time to remove some nuisances out of pour way. Otherwise, they would continue to hop in front of our progress. We don’t have time to deal with them. We have more important works to do."
Alera eyed the mask disapprovingly and then transformed into a beautiful white feathered bird and sat on Kadyn’s shoulder. "I don’t need that thing," she said.
Kadyn smiled and nodded before turning towards the tower. Then a pair of wings spread behind him and took off from the ground, going higher and higher. In no time he was flapping his wings in front of the window of the top floor. The window was open and the light of the room was open, and weird noises were coming from the room.
Kadyn sat at the windowsill and looked towards the bed with interest. A muscular man of short build was riding a woman, and his hips were going back and forth, producing a sound that Kadyn hadn’t heard ever since he arrived into this world. Furthermore, on earth he watched it on mobile phone, but at this time, he was looking at the live show.
He was already having a reaction, but when he saw hairy ass, he felt an urge to throw up.
When he was distracted, the window—that he was holding—made a sound, alerting the performers in front of him. The dwarf was very fast to act, he turned and glared at Kadyn, holding a sword that was hanging on the wall. "Who are you?" he asked, narrowing his eye, his voice cold.
Kadyn chuckled. "The man who will send you on a journey."
"What do you mean?" asked
"Have you heard about after life?" Kadyn asked and then before the man could reply, he vanished and arrived in front of the dwarf. "Have a nice trip."
After saying that Kadyn took a few steps back and then smiled at him before jumping out of the window.
The woman who had frozen all this time heard the sound of dripping. She lifted her gaze—a human woman—and spotted a hole at the center of the dwarf; the sound that she heard was of the blood dripping from the body. With a thud the body collapsed with the sword in his hand, and the woman screamed in horror.
