Magic Shop System

Chapter 227: Opening Ceremony

Chapter 227: Opening Ceremony

The sun rose and the Magic Market started to stir: the chirping of birds, sounds of people, and noise of cars. This was the first morning at this place; Kadyn felt weird, but also refreshed. He let his companions to make preparations—ribbon and scissor and all kind of stuff.

Cecelia and others were confused as to why he was doing this, but around nine o’clock in the morning a long, luxurious car arrived in front of their shop, even more extravagant looking car than the one in which Kadyn had arrived with Arba, attracting every passerby’s glance. Some of them even pointed in excitement towards the car. Must be very expensive car, Kadyn muttered.

Then a beautiful woman walked out of the car. Aleera. She wore white dress today, its hem dragging behind her on the ground. Her black hair was tide in a bun behind her back, some of the locks dangling on her cheeks, and her green, captivating eyes observed Kadyn and his companions. Arba stood behind her with a smiling face.

"Welcome," Kadyn gestured towards Aleera. "We were waiting for you. After all, you are our distinguished guest today. Please, come in and cut the ribbon, madam."

Aleera rolled her eyes at him but sauntered towards the ribbon, nonetheless. The people of other shops were staring towards them with curious eyes, wanting to know who had come out of the lavish car. Furthermore, there was an insignia of World Magic Alliance printed on the back side of the car. This increased everyone’s curiosity to know her more.

Kadyn had already arranged someone to take pictures of the ceremony. So when Aleera cut the ribbon someone was taking photos. Kadyn’s companion had no idea what he wanted to do, as he had not informed them about his plans.

As soon as Aleera cut the ribbon she left in her expensive car. Though Kadyn wanted her to stay and enjoy sister Rayna’s food, he knew that she had a lot more work to do. After Aleera left, he whispered something in the photographer’s ear and went inside the shop. "Let’s go and wait for the customers inside the shop."

Only a few customers visited the shop on that day, and even less bought goods; one could see the hesitation on their faces. They were not yet sure if the products of this shop was worth buying. Who knew if they were scammers?

Around five o’clock in the evening Kadyn left the shop and went to somewhere. Though, he told no one to where. Around eight o’clock in the evening he came back. When his companions asked where he was all this time, he just smiled, without replying.

The next day began like the previous day; they still felt a bit strange but not that much.

When Dion walked out of the house and went to the shop, he screamed. Others rushed towards him and turned to look where he was gawking with his wide eyes. There was a huge billboard hanging on a tall building. Inside it the picture of a tall tower could be seen and at the entrance of the tower a woman was cutting a red ribbon. At the top of the billboard was written—Heaven’s Door. And beside the picture of Aleera was written—one of the strongest World Magic Alliance’s elder attending opening ceremony of a potion and artefact shop.

"What IS this?" asked Elora, completely fascinated by the huge board.

Kadyn grinned. "Well, this is just one of the many billboards. There are tense of billboards like this one hanging in the Heart of Vrilas. Hundreds of medium-sized ones and thousands of flyers have been spread around the district. I just wanted to make one big billboard, but Arba said that that wouldn’t match the status of Aleera as one of the strongest elder." Kadyn rolled his eyes when he remembered her arrogant face.

"So that’s why you vanished for some time yesterday," muttered Cecelia.

Kadyn nodded. "Yes. Alright, let’s go inside and wait to see if our advertisement would affect our business in a good way or not. I wish my hard-work won’t go to waste."

This was the first time someone had used this kind of method in this world. Even Aleera had become fascinated when he told her about his plan, and only due to her help he was able to hang his billboard on famous buildings. If it was not for her, he would never be able succeed in completing his plan. Kadyn had never seen billboard in this world ever since he arrived in this world, like his previous life on earth. So he was little dubious about its effect. Nonetheless, Aleera turned out to be very helpful in this regard.

However, his worries vanished in no time when the customers started to pour inside the shop in groups in no time. It didn’t take even half a day for all the potions and artifacts to be sold. After closing the shop on that day, they celebrated. Sister Ryana prepared all kinds of dishes. Her culinary skills had developed to a very high level now.

Furthermore, on that night Kadyn used his new skill that he had gotten after the shop upgraded to rank 5. He opened the portal to all other branches and summoned every employee who was somewhere else. Now they could gather whenever they wanted. Kadyn also taught Khrom and others to use the skill as it was not limited to only Kadyn. Every employee of the shop could use it.

They weren’t that surprised when they learned about it as they could already travel whenever they wanted. However, what made them grin was—they could use this skill without wasting a single energy point.

As Kadyn was enjoying with his friends, Aleera was sitting around the round table with other high level elders of the World Magic Alliance. "Do you think this would help you, Aleera?" said a long-eared man with a mocking smile.

"You should stop this nonsense as soon as possible, Aleera," said another man. He was much smaller but bulkier than others present on the table.
